Mia, sorry it took so long to get back to you. the notices of new comments are not coming through to me. glad you found the breakdown. also, people must vote where they claim as their homestead. you may own land here and then ie: florida, but you claim your land here as your homestead, then you would vote here. if you claim your florida land as your homestead, then you would vote there. thanks for all your questions and interest.

Sheri: The people who own land here but don't live here, do they vote here or in their township of residence? BTW...yes, I do own land and pay taxes to Mastodon Township...but you bring up good points...I had forgotten about the nonresident taxpayers. Thanks for your quick answers.

There are MANY people who pay taxes who dont live here. People forget about the nonresident taxpayers. There are MANY people who live here and pay taxes who dont or wont use the library. There are MANY people who Dont pay taxes and want taxpayers to pay for it so it is free for them. Do you own land? i did have the breakdown but cant find where i put it..i will try to get something to you.
A tie? Seriously? For all those people who voted NO on the Library millage, can someone enlighten us as to how much our taxes would go up if it was accepted? I can't imagine that it would be more than the $40 the Library wants to charge Mastadon Township residents to use it's services...PLEASE put this back on the ballot...and PLEASE VOTE YES!
