Mastodon Township is pleased to announce that we have extended our garbage program for another year. The total vouchers we are sending you will remain at 10 with a value of $20 each. • Garbage/Recyclable Vouchers: The voucher value will remain at $20, and each taxpayer will receive 10 vouchers for a total yearly value of $200. The year runs from 4/1/21 through 3/31/22. • Garbage and recycling must be disposed at a local vendor – Great American Disposal (GAD), Waste Management (WM); or Tru- Recycling. All Alpha residents who need to purchase garbage bags from the Village office, can turn in those receipts for reimbursement. If you have a dumpster, you can submit a copy of your monthly bill from the above service provider for reimbursement. • Whether you take your garbage to GAD or WM, you must collect a receipt for the amount paid. You may use multiple vouchers to cover a receipt, or you could use one voucher to cover multiple receipts. Each voucher has a value of $20. That will be the maximum paid for each voucher sent in for reimbursement with appropriate receipts attached. The voucher has no cash value unless accompanied by acceptable receipts. No reimbursement will be given for a voucher submitted without a receipt. • Residents can also combine their vouchers to cover garbage costs. If this is the case, you only need to notify Jan Lemke of all the residents involved and Janwill make a note of it here. Jando keep track of the vouchers turned in so it will be important to know when groups are formed. When a group is formed, there is one person from the group that handles all of the paperwork involved. They administer all the vouchers within the group, submit the invoices and vouchers to Jan for payment. Payment will only be made to that person in the group. • You can send your receipts/vouchers to Jan anytime throughout the year. They can also be dropped in our secure drop box located to the right of our front doors. Reimbursements will be processed monthly. Please note that all vouchers for the 2021/22 year MUST be received in this office no later than April 10, 2022. • Lake Mary Residents: If you are part of the dumpster membership and want to be reimbursed for your dumpster payment, send your vouchers to Joanne Burns along with your payment (year round residents $120+6 vouchers; seasonal $60+3 vouchers). Once she receives payment from everyone in the dumpster membership, she will submit her list to Jan for reimbursement to each of you. You do not need to separately send Jan your vouchers.
